I decided to paint my nails during the Leinster Vs Munster match, because I like to have something good to watch while my nails dry. (Leinster are winning at half time, woo!) I went for 'Shatter', although I changed the colours from blue and yellow to blue and red to get purple.

Yankee Candle & Ikea trip !
After college today, myself and my mam decided to take a little trip to Ikea and Home Store and More. I needed to get my ass to Home Store and More as my brothers wife informed me they had a sale on the large jars of Yankee Candles. Eeep! Although I was a little disappointed when I arrived to see none of my favourites on sale. Poop :( Still, that didn't stop me buying another few samplers I got my hands on 'Red Velvet, MidSummers Night and I also repurchased Fluffy Towels and Pink Dragon Fruit.
Red Velvet: This candle smells good enough to eat. It smells like cupcakes. YUM! I've never actually had a red velvet cake or cupcake before, but if it tastes like this candle smells I've been missing out. I'll definitely be getting this candle is a bigger size.
MidSummers Night: My friends kept telling me that this candle smelt like a man.. I know, it sounds odd. That's what I thought until I smelt it myself. This candle really does smell like a man. It smells like men's aftershave. Mmm.
Also in Home Store and More I bought a little bottle of glycerine. Looks like a random buy I know. But I bought this for my special effects looks. Glycerine works as a great way to create sweat. It's works well and is much cheaper than buying the proper stuff.
Then I went to Ikea. Now, whenever I go to Ikea I do go a little over board but I did behave myself this time. I only bought a few things, even though I only went to buy one jar.. It's impossible to just buy one thing in that shop! Firstly I got my little jar. I wanted one to put some sweets in. I bought fizzy bottles and snakes in Dunnes for only €1 and american jelly beans in Lidl for 60c. I think It looks really cute.
I've been trying to find coffee beans for my glass vase to hold my makeup brushes for a while. Then one of my friends made the point that the coffee beans would make my brushes smell of coffee which I didn't want. I came across these tiny stones in Ikea which were perfect. They're the colour of coffee beans and look slightly like them, but without the smell. They're originally for candles but they work well. (Excuse my dirty makeup brushes.. )
I then wanted to purchase some fake flowers. I do love real flowers but I never really buy my own because my boyfriend usually buys them for me. I loved the colours of these flowers, the blue is gorgeous. I also purchased the vase today in Ikea. Flowers need a vase! I've been loving squares and rectangles this month, circles have gone out the window at the moment.
All in all a good days work i think!

Did somebody say candles !?
As I have gone slightly candle crazy in the last month I decided it was time for me to finally visit the Yankee Candle shop. I loved that shop a tiny bit too much. The colours and smells are just, mmm.. I took the time to smell every single candle in that shop and I only left with four testers (which I'm quite proud of). I bought the testers because I didn't want to go straight into buying the bigger candles in case I didn't like the smell of the candle once it was lit. I chose Lemon Lavender, Pink Dragon Fruit, Fresh Cut Roses and Fluffy Towels.
Lemon Lavender. This is the best smelling candle I have smelt in a good while. I love it. It is by far my favourite. It smell's exactly as its described, like lemons and lavender. Its sweet and fresh. I'll definitely be thinking about buying this in the bigger size.
Pink Dragon Fruit. I was dragged into this candles amazing-ness by my best friend. She went on about it for ages, so I bought it for her birthday in the tea light sizes. After smelling it in the shop I was hooked. Also just look at the colour, its pink <3
Fresh Cut Rose. In the shop I liked the smell of this candle enough to buy it. But after I opened it the smell got a tad bit strong for me. I'm still waiting to light it, so I'll still give it a chance. It smells exactly like fresh cut roses (roses being my favourite flowers), so the smell is still lovely. I'm not sure if I'd purchase it again though.
Fluffy Towels. This candles packaging is open because of my boyfriend, he opened it on me. 'Fluffy Towels' literally smells like fresh clean fluffy towels. It reminds me of my hot press, where we store all our towels. The colour is a gorgeous clean white.
I can't wait for my next visit to the Yankee Candle shop !
